GRATITUDE

 S.H.E. Opportunity Labs is the connecter to providing Skills, Hope and Empowerment to foster youth and families by advancing pathways to STEM learning, credentials, paid work, and greater independence. 

STEM Net through WPSR, initiative unites foster youth and families, housing communities, educators, engineers, employers, colleges, veterans, and financial literacy and licensing professionals. The goal is to ensure that young people, particularly foster youth and families in underserved communities, experience a pathway from initial STEM Net exposure to real educational opportunities and workforce development. 

 Our approach connects the places where people live, learn, and work: housing communities, K–12 schools, Historical Black Colleges and Universities, other anchor institutions, and employers. The goal is continued learning, stronger skills, meaningful credentials, paid internships and apprenticeships, and pathways to employment or entrepreneurship that support self-sufficiency and greater independence. 

WPSR STEM Net is led by veterans and serves as a vital community connector and collective impact backbone. Its Expos, act as activation points within a broader educational journey, transcending the notion of isolated science fairs. We are proudly affiliated with the West Point Society of Richmond, fostering connections through STEM Net.

S.H.E. champions collaborative efforts that empower foster youth and families with essential skills in Financial Literacy and Licensing, Drone Training and Certifications, AI Made Simple, Robotics Training and Certifications, as well as Entrepreneurship  Business Development. Our commitment spans mentoring emerging leaders, educating families, and investing in the community.

At S.H.E. Opportunity Labs our purpose remains steadfast: to make transformative knowledge accessible to those often marginalized and to assist the next generation in building sustainable skills, hope, and empowerment that enhance their futures and legacies. We provide Skills, Hope, and Empowerment to foster youth and families in economically disadvantaged communities.

Through initiatives like STEM Net, we deliver crucial literacy and certifications that open doors to workforce development and job placement, ensuring financial sustainability for foster youth and families. S.H.E. Opportunity Labs firmly believes that exposure and education in every community are vital components of the strength and foundation of America's future.
